Average prices for a portrait of one person painted with oil on canvas:

The actual price of a painting is determined by the degree of detail and hence the time needed for the painting.
E.g.: a woman in a wedding dress or a bearded man will demand more time than a baby’s face.

Paintings of several people, personal concepts, drawings or engravings can also be commissioned.

  Price calculation is identical to that of paintings on canvas + travel expenses.

The prices mentioned above are indicative.

The actual price is calculated based on:

• the dimensions
• whether it is an existing image or a unique concept.
• the surface (material, position,…)
• indoor / outdoor wall
• the working conditions (heating, sanitation, lighting)
• the deadline
• travel expenses

The payment is done in two steps:

• Half of the agreed upon price at the beginning of the assignment
• Second half + travel expenses upon conclusion of the assignment, if satisfied*

In case of the elaboration of a unique concept (for instance: bringing several people together from different photos on another background or any other combination of pictures), 100 euro will be charged for the production of a digital or drawn sketch. This amount will be deducted from the final invoice when the work has been completed.

Note: for paintings based on pictures, precise and detailed elaboration is only possible when sharp pictures are provided.

The author reserves the right to use images of all works for publicitary purposes (publication on website, portfolio, …), unless requested otherwise, before the assignment.

_{*In any case of dissatisfaction of a work, the second half of the invoice won’t be charged and the work will not be handed over. In the case of murals, the painted surface will be restored to its original state, as far as possible.}
