Andrea Primusz was born on 2 October 1984 in Dunaujvàros, Hungary.
She had a troublesome childhood. At the age of 4 her father died and a year later her mother married a man who had never been able to fulfil the role of a father figure in her life.
The frantic character of her new family situation - with ongoing conflicts between the parents - lead to many migrations from one end of the country to the other. In this way, Andrea learned at a very young age that her sketchbook and pencil were the best means to escape her daily life.

At primary school, teachers noticed that her drawing skills were far more developed than that of other children of her age and influenced her to study at art school. Unfortunately bad family and economic situation did not allow her to do so.

On the other hand, in Hungary it is more difficult to live on art, therefore Andrea decided to study other subjects that seemed more practical on the labour market. After her studies Andrea met her boyfriend, a young Belgian filmmaker, who tries to find a place in this world just like she does. He believed in her drawing skills and stimulated her to paint. Later they settled down together in Belgium, which became her new home.

Influenced by the works of her favourite artists like István Sándorfi, Denis Peterson and Rob Gonsalves and her special attraction to realistic paintings, she started to paint. After having painted more than 15 paintings and a dozen of drawings Andrea feels ready to exhibit her works to the outside world.

Today Andrea is learning Flemish and tries to integrate in her new environment.
Deep inside, Andrea hopes that one day she will be able to delight people with her art.
